4D3N MOUNT RINJANI TREKKING (SUMMIT) ITINERARY
DAY 1: Senggigi- Sembalun Village- Sembalun
Crater Rim, OVERNIGHT IN TENT
Early morning transfer to
trek point at Sembalun Lawang Village. Registration at Rinjani
Information Centre (RIC) in Sembalun Lawang, at 08.30am start the trek with
gentle ascend walking through open grassland to Pos 1 Pemantauan (1,300m) about
1,5 hours, take some rest and then continue to Pos 2 Tengengean (1,500 m). Take
some break before continue to Pos 3 Pada Balong (1,800 m). At Pos 3 stop for
Lunch. After lunch continue the trek
up to Sembalun Crater Rim (2,639m). Reach the camp site around
5pm, set up the tent and enjoy the views of the crater rim.Dinner and Rest.
DAY 2: Sembalun Crater rim-Rinjani Summit- Segara Anak Lake,
Start the trek at 02:30 AM
for the summit (3,726 m), its walk on volcanic sand and some point are steep.
Reach the summit around 6 am, once there enjoy proud feelings of satisfaction
and the amazing sunrise views across the Wallace Line to Bali, Mt. Agung and
Sumbawa. Stay at the summit 30 minutes
- 1 hour and then descend back to the campsite. Rest and breakfast at the
camp then proceed go down to the lake (Segara Anak Lake, 2000m). It takes three
hours walk down to reach Segara Anak Lake. Set up tent near by the lake and
spend your time for relaxing at the lake and go into the hot springs to get
natural massage, by local people believe it to have healing powers.
DAY 3: Segara Anak Lake- Senaru Crater Rim,
Leave the lake after lunch,
trekking to Plawangan 1, Senaru Crater Rim (2,461 m). Some trek points very steep and hard need
extra focus on the trek trail. Set up the tent to spend one
night at the crater. Enjoy the views around and the lake from the other side,
relax, explore and await the sunset.
DAY 4: Senaru Crater Rim- Senaru Village- Senggigi
After breakfast, break the
tent and descend to Senaru village (601 m), along the trek trails sheltered by
thick tropical forests with rich of flora, bird life and a variety of
butterflies. You might see orchid and, if lucky, the rare black ebony leaf
monkey, known locally as lutung. Rest stops are taken along the way. Lunch
served en route. Trek finish at Rinjani Trek
Center at the road head in Senaru, where the car is waiting to transfer you to
the airport or Senggigi. Tour ends.
